Materials and Resources MR 4.1 Recycled Materials 10% - 1 point
Materials and Resources MR 4.2 Recycled Materials 20% - 2 points


Use materials with recycled content such that the sum of post-consumer recycled content plus 1/2 of the pre-consumer content constitutes at least 10% or 20%, based on cost, of the total value of the materials in the project.

Use building materials or product that have been extracted, harvested or recovered, as well as manufactured, within 500 miles of the project site for a minimum of 10% or 20% based on cost, of the total materials value. If only a fraction of a product or material is extracted, harvested, or recovered and manufactu red locally, then only that percentage (by weight) can contribute to the regional value.

Interstyle glass tiles and glass surfaces are manufactured in Burnaby BC, while Earthenglass tile is manufactured in Blain WA. For projec ts reaching points as far as Prince George BC, Calgary AB, Missoula MT, Washington State and Oregon LEED points can be obtained as tehy are within a 500 mile radius of the factory.

IInnovation credits can be awarded for exceptional performance and innovation above the requirements set by LEED.

Interstyle frequently collaborates with designers to create custom product designs while implementing cutting edge technology.

A potential innovation credit may be available for including Interstyle's products that improve sustainability due to long lifetime, durability adn low maintenance requirements.
